Uzuri is the Kiswahili word for beauty and light, and the bag carries that name without apology. It is the smallest piece in the house, made for the things that matter at the start and the end of a day.

Inside the bag there is space for the few items that travel between rooms and across cities. A mirror, the small cosmetics that move with you, the items that prepare you for what comes next. The interior is divided into one main compartment with a single inner pocket. Nothing is over engineered. The bag does what a vanity bag should do and nothing more.

The exterior is calf leather, treated to resist water but not to mask the grain. A single zip closes the bag along the top. The pull is leather, not metal, weighted just enough to feel definite under the hand.

Uzuri belongs on a dressing table, on the corner of a bed, in the side pocket of a larger bag during travel. It is the piece that comes with you to the parts of the day no one else sees. That is, in some sense, the place where beauty and light begin.

Every Inga Africa piece is handcrafted with care and prepared for delivery to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

For handcrafted pieces made to order, please allow 6–8 weeks for production before your order is dispatched.

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These costs remain the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you wish to return your purchase, you may request a return within 15 days of receiving your order.

To initiate a return, please contact us at orders@ingaafrica.com with your order number and reason for the return.

Returned items must be:

  • Unused
  • In their original condition
  • Accompanied by all original packaging, tags, and accessories

Once your return has been received, inspected, and approved, your refund will be processed within 7 days using the original payment method.

Please note that made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, and custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or refund unless the item has a manufacturing defect.

Inga Africa reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.

Interior Layout & Slots • Features the brand's signature bold red fabric lining. • Designed with a completely open cavity layout free of rigid dividers for full flexibility. • Stitched with a black leather tag bearing the gold-embossed text "INGA AFRICA / HAND CRAFTED IN SOUTH AFRICA" on the back inner wall.
Exterior Features & Hardware • The top lid opens fully like a chest via a prominent, gold-toned dual-zipper system that wraps around three sides. • Outfitted with a single, structured flat leather top handle. • Built with chunky gold-toned D-rings anchored securely to each side of the bag's base. • Includes a separate, adjustable matching black leather strap equipped with gold hardware studs and swivel clasps. • Finished with a flat rectangular bottom featuring four gold-toned metal feet, a lower-center signature gold-plated "I" logo hardware anchor, and a removable leather clochette.
