A sleeve made for the rituals of work and reading. The name Buka is the Sesotho word for book, and the piece carries that intention into the object itself. It is shaped to hold a laptop and the loose papers, notebooks, and pens that gather around a working day.

The construction is plain and considered. A protective interior cradles the screen, with a soft lining that does not mark the case. A magnetic flap closes the sleeve without ceremony. There are no buckles, no zips, no hardware that announces itself. Only the leather, the stitch, and the small object inside.

Buka is part of a quiet tradition. Across the continent, books have carried memory between generations long before paper was the form. The name is a small recognition of that lineage. What you place inside today, in a laptop or a notebook, is the same gesture: preserving thought, carrying it with you, opening it again somewhere new.

Hand finished in our workshop. The leather is full grain and will darken evenly with use.
