Unoposi is named for the postman, the figure who carries letters across distance. The bag remembers a time when receiving an envelope from a loved one was a small event in the day, when the weight of paper meant something, when handwriting still travelled.

The construction is built around that memory. A central compartment large enough for a laptop, a notebook, and the papers that move with you. A flap that closes with a single buckle, the way a postman's satchel closed before clasps multiplied. An adjustable shoulder strap that allows the bag to ride high under the arm or to settle across the back.

The leather is calf, vegetable tanned, and finished by hand. The hardware is solid brass, chosen to age in tone with the bag rather than against it. Stitching is hand sewn at stress points and machine sewn elsewhere, the way most luxury leather is constructed when done honestly.

Unoposi is not the bag for short days. It is the bag for the longer journeys, where what you carry matters and how it travels matters more. The name is a small thank you to the people who once made distance feel less far.

Every Inga Africa piece is handcrafted with care and prepared for delivery to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Estimated Delivery

  • Within South Africa: 2–5 working days
  • International: 5–10 working days

For handcrafted pieces made to order, please allow 6–8 weeks for production before your order is dispatched.

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These costs remain the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you wish to return your purchase, you may request a return within 15 days of receiving your order.

To initiate a return, please contact us at orders@ingaafrica.com with your order number and reason for the return.

Returned items must be:

  • Unused
  • In their original condition
  • Accompanied by all original packaging, tags, and accessories

Once your return has been received, inspected, and approved, your refund will be processed within 7 days using the original payment method.

Please note that made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, and custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or refund unless the item has a manufacturing defect.

Inga Africa reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.

Interior Layout & Slots • Opens up to a striking, high-contrast signature bold red fabric lining. • Features a large, integrated divider slot on one side (ideal for a laptop or tablet) framed with leather piping. • Placed right on the internal divider wall is a classic black leather tag embossed with the text: "INGA AFRICA / HAND CRAFTED IN SOUTH AFRICA". • Remainder of the main compartment offers an open layout space built to comfortably accommodate document folders, a notebook, and chargers.
Exterior Features & Hardware • The lower front face features a prominent, horizontal zippered utility pocket with a polished metal pull. • Main interior is secured by a robust metal zipper spanning across the top arch of the bag. • Anchored via square metal hardware rings are two structured, rolled leather top handles. • Includes a matching leather strap with a metallic press stud to link the handles together. • Comes with a wide, adjustable leather shoulder strap that clips onto dedicated metal side loops using sturdy lobster clasps. • Finished with central embossed logo text ("INGA AFRICA / JOHANNESBURG") on the upper front panel, a small metal "I" logo emblem anchored at the lower center, and a matching leather clochette/luggage tag.
