ihe o bula is named for the joy of a brief escape. Designed for journeys that require only one bag, it carries the essentials of a few days away with effortless ease.

Inside, there is space for everything needed on a short journey. Personal essentials, travel documents, a book, and the small items that make time away feel effortless. The silhouette is generous without feeling oversized, balancing practicality with elegance. A thoughtfully placed interior pocket keeps valuables and necessities within easy reach while preserving the simplicity of the main compartment.

Twin top handles meet at a leather wrap, long enough to clear the shoulder when needed. A detachable strap is included for longer carries. The base of the bag is reinforced with a panel of leather and four small feet that protect the underside on hotel floors and train platforms.

Calf leather, vegetable tanned, hand finished. The bag is large enough to carry what a short trip requires, and no larger.

There is something specific about the African short escape. The drive out of the city, the place that exists for only a few days, the return. ihe o bula was built for that rhythm. It is meant to be used.

Every Inga Africa piece is handcrafted with care and prepared for delivery to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Estimated Delivery

  • Within South Africa: 2–5 working days
  • International: 5–10 working days

For handcrafted pieces made to order, please allow 6–8 weeks for production before your order is dispatched.

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These costs remain the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you wish to return your purchase, you may request a return within 15 days of receiving your order.

To initiate a return, please contact us at orders@ingaafrica.com with your order number and reason for the return.

Returned items must be:

  • Unused
  • In their original condition
  • Accompanied by all original packaging, tags, and accessories

Once your return has been received, inspected, and approved, your refund will be processed within 7 days using the original payment method.

Please note that made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, and custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or refund unless the item has a manufacturing defect.

Inga Africa reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.

Interior Layout & Slots • Features the brand's signature bold red fabric lining. • Configured with two primary open sections to separate documents, a laptop, or bulkier personal items. • A central zippered compartment acts as the divider wall between the main sections, optimized for securing sensitive items or cords. • Includes one open slip pocket trimmed with black leather on the interior wall for quick-access items like a smartphone or business cards. • Finished with a stitched black leather patch bearing the "INGA AFRICA" brand name positioned right above the slip pockets.
Exterior Features & Hardware • Main opening is pulled together by gold-toned magnetic snaps at the top. • Supported by structural, double leather top handles for hand or forearm carry. • Features a flat front slip pocket integrated into a vertical stitched panel layout. • Built with a prominent gold-toned "I" logo hardware piece at the bottom front center. • The flat, structured rectangular bottom is protected by four gold-toned metal feet (studs). • Accompanied by a dangling leather key bell/clochette attachment on the front handle.
