Binti is the Kiswahili word for daughter. The bag was made with the next generation in mind, the daughters and the granddaughters, the young women whose work and lives are still being shaped, who deserve a piece that will be there as they grow into the rooms they will eventually walk into.

The bag is small to mid sized. Big enough for the items of a working day, small enough to be carried easily across long hours. The shape is rounded and gentle, less structured than Inkosikazi, more relaxed without slouching. The leather is calf, vegetable tanned, finished to soften with use rather than to stay rigid.

Inside, a single main compartment holds a notebook, a phone, a small folder of papers, the items of a life still being built. A removable interior pouch holds the smaller things that often go missing in larger bags. The lining is suede.

Twin top handles for the hand. A removable strap for the shoulder. The hardware is solid brass, simple, chosen to age with the bag.
